Why it matters

Summer isn't just downtime — it's your best window to fix, advance, or accelerate

Failed or incomplete credits don't just disappear

A missing credit can block university admission, delay graduation, or require a full semester back in school. Summer is the most efficient window to close that gap.

Getting ahead now changes your entire next year

Banking one or two credits over summer means a lighter course load in September — more room to focus on the courses that matter most for your post-secondary goals.

Graduation timelines are shorter than most students think

If you're short on credits going into Grade 11 or 12, summer is often the only realistic way to stay on track for an on-time graduation or early university entry.

Who it's for

Four types of students who benefit most from summer enrollment

Students recovering a credit

You didn't pass a course, or you withdrew and need to retake it. Summer is the fastest way to recover that credit without repeating a full school year.

Students getting ahead before September

You want to bank a credit now so your fall semester is lighter — more time to focus on the courses that matter most for your program or university requirements.

Students targeting faster graduation

You're short on credits and want to graduate on time — or early. Every summer credit brings your graduation date closer and keeps university timelines on track.

Students improving a mark

You passed a course but the grade wasn't strong enough for your university program. Retaking it over summer with teacher support is the clearest path to a higher final mark.

The process

How summer enrollment works at CGA

01

Book a free graduation review

Tell us where you are with your credits. We'll confirm which course fits your OSSD plan, your grade level, and your summer timeline — before you spend a dollar.

02

Enroll and start your course

Your $99 support credit is applied at checkout. You get immediate access to your course materials, your assigned teacher, and a structured schedule to complete the work before September.

03

Complete, submit, and get your credit

Your teacher marks your work and provides feedback throughout. Once you complete the final assessment, your credit is submitted to CGA and goes on your official Ontario transcript.

From a CGA family

My daughter completed her Grade 11 English credit over the summer and started Grade 12 with a full course load she actually felt ready for. The teacher feedback was detailed and helped her improve her writing before university applications.
